We stumbbled upon the Late Show location while on our way to the MET. Tim was trying to think of the times he saw the show go outside onto the street and was trying to figure out where things were filmed.

Our first stop of the day was the Metropoitan Museum of Art (MET). It was huge. We really only skimmed the surface of this place. So many statues, and fun things to see. We particularly liked the African room, and I was super excited to see the Van Gogh paintings. My new favorite painting is in the bottom left cornor of the collage.

Of course we had to see the egyptian exhibit. It is the largest egyptian collection in the world besides Cairo. So it was pretty amazing. They even had real temples that were put together inside the museum. It really felt like you were seeing something special. This only fuels my desire to go the Egypt someday.

Next stop on the list was the Natural History Museum, and that was on the other side of Central Park. So we got to take a nice stroll through the park and see some cool stuff. Belvadere Castle and the Great Lawn were along our route. Like everything else we saw only a fraction of the park...I guess we will have to come back.

Things we did or saw on day 2 in New York:
The Late Show with David Letterman
The MET
Central Park: The great Lawn, and Belvadere Castle
The Natural History Museum
Serendipity 3
Dillons Candy Bar
Manhattan Temple
